ENL Wiki presents the Economics of Needs and Limits

The Economics of Needs and Limits is a new type of guiding framework for a post-capitalist economy. Developed over two decades by independent scholar Frank Rotering, ENL has human well-being at its core and provides a comprehensive range of concepts and analytical tools for aligning economic activity around this ethic, within the ecological limits imposed by nature.

The book that delineates this rational framework is available as a free pdf (at this link) on the author’s website, contractionism.org.

GTI member Pete Faraway is now the creator of the newly-minted ENL Wiki, which adapts Frank Rotering’s book into hypertext pages for easy web browsing and reference. ENL’s elegant and humane logic is fully and clearly portrayed, illustrated by over 75 graphs and figures, with references and a glossary. He welcomes feedback from GT participants.
