Yogi Hendlin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he works to apply environmental thinking to public health. Prior coming to UCSF, he held an appointment at the University of Vienna’s Department of Philosophy working on environmental ethics. His research on the intersection of environmental philosophy, political science, and public policy has led to publications on land rights and environmental justice, intergenerational justice, discourse ethics, and biosemiotics. His current research extends the public health successes of reigning in the tobacco epidemic to other industries. Hendlin holds a PhD from the University of Kiel, Germany.
