Wayne Foord
Wayne Foord recently completed a PhD at Queens University Belfast, School of Politics, International Relations, and Philosophy. His thesis addressed the impact of emerging fossil energy scarcity on food security, and strategies for transition to a post-carbon food system. His postdoctoral research interests include the application of participatory scenario planning methodology to food system governance and transition, the global political economy of food, green political theory, and the politics of transition to a post-carbon society. He has previous work experience in both the non-profit and public sectors, including manager of an organic horticulture training center, manager of a peace center in Northern Ireland, administrator of EU Peace Funds in Northern Ireland, and race relations worker in London.
