Sylvia Lorek is a researcher and policy consultant on sustainable consumption governance at the Sustainable Europe Research Institute (SERI) in Germany. Her work focuses on the intersection of microeconomics and macroeconomics in charting a path toward a good life for all. Previously, she was at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and the KLJB, the Catholic Rural Youth Organisation in Germany. She is an organizing member of the Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative (SCORAI) in Europe and is on the steering committee of the Global Research Forum for Sustainable Consumption and Production (GRF-SCP). She holds a PhD in consumer economics from the University of Helsinki.
