Mamphela Ramphele

Mamphela Ramphele is the co-founder of ReimagineSA and Co-President of the Club of Rome. She has received numerous national and international awards acknowledging her scholarship and role in leading projects for marginalized people in South Africa and elsewhere. Earlier in her career, she was a founder of the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa, a Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cape Town, and a Managing Director at the World Bank. She has written numerous books and articles on South African politics, including the recent Dreams, Betrayal, and Hope.
