Liisa Horelli
Liisa Horelli is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Real Estate, Planning and Geoinformatics, at Aalto University, Finland, and Visiting Professor of Designing for Smart Cities at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. She has written extensively in academic and popular journals about gender and intergenerational issues, evaluation, and the user approach in technology development and regional/spatial planning and has published two books on environmental psychology. Her latest projects and publications deal with time planning, the co-creation of services, and gendering "smart cities." Since the 1990s, she has conducted evaluations of numerous EU-funded programs and projects from a gender perspective. She is a former President of the Finnish Evaluation Society and a Board Member of the European Evaluation Society. She holds a PhD in environmental psychology from Helsinki University of Technology.
