Joseph Fiksel is Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University, where he co-founded the Center for Resilience and championed the Sustainability Institute, and a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University. His applied research has advanced the science and practice of sustainability and resilience. Previously, he was a Vice President at Battelle, working with international organizations and leading corporations, and served as Special Assistant for Sustainability at the US EPA. He holds a PhD from Stanford University.
