Bonn Juego teaches international development studies at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. He has also lectured on global political economy and world-economic history at the University of Helsinki. His current research focuses on crises of development and such socioeconomic phenomena as authoritarian neoliberalism, populism, and resurgent nationalisms. He serves on the Board of the Finnish Society for Development Research, as an Expert for the World Economic Survey of the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, and on the International Editorial Board of Globalizations. Prior to academia, he had a stint working in the Philippine government and with a few social movements and global civil society, including the Manila-based coordinating secretariat of the Asia-Europe People’s Forum.
